Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's March 7 speech
This time the struggle is the struggle for independence
On one side is the liberated mob, on the other hand the Pakistani military ruler. Meanwhile, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave an unforgettable speech on March 3. The thunderbolt made the crowd aware of the speech. After that speech, Bengali became a world heritage at historical value.
Today, I have appeared before you with a heavy heart. As you all know and understand, we have tried with our lives. But, sadly, today, the streets of my brother's blood have rang in Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur. Today, people of Bengal want liberation, people of Bengal want to live, people of Bengal want rights. What was wrong? After the election, the people of Bangladesh completely voted for me and the Awami League. Our National Assembly will sit down, we will create a regime there and we will build the history of this country. People of this country will get economics, politics and cultural liberation. But sadly, the tragic history of Bangladesh, the history of the blood of the people of Bengal - the history of this blood is the compassion of the humble people - the history of the tragedy of this country, the history of dying the highway in the blood of this country.
We gave blood in 12. Despite winning the elections in the 5th, we were unable to sit on the mattress. Ayub Khan issued martial law in 9 and has kept us slaves for five years. Our boys were shot dead during the 6-point movement in the 5th. Yahya came after the fall of Ayub Khan in the 9th movement. Yahya Khan Sahib said that he would give governance in the country. We agreed. Then there was a lot of history, the election took place. I met President Yahya Khan. I requested him to be the leader of the Majority Party of Pakistan, not just Bangla, to convene our National Assembly on February 7. He did not listen to me, but kept Bhutto's words. He said the meeting would be held in the first week in March. I said, OK, I'll sit in the assembly. I said, let's talk in the assembly. Even so far, if anyone says fair things, we are more in number, but according to one, if we say it is fair, we will accept it.
Bhutto was here in Dhaka and discussed. Having said that, the door of discussion is not closed, there will be further discussion. Then we had discussions with other leaders — talk and form a governance — all come, sit down. We will talk and create a regime. He said if the members of West Pakistan come, the slaughterhouse would be an assembly. He said that whoever goes, they will be killed. If anyone comes to the assembly, from Peshawar to Karachi will be forcibly closed. Like I said, the assembly will go on. And suddenly the 7th Assembly was shut down.
Yahya Khan called the assembly as president. I said, I'll go. Bhutto said, 'Don't go. Six members came here from West Pakistan. Then suddenly stopped, the blame was given to the people of Bengal, I was blamed. The people of the country became protesting.
I said, "Peacefully observe the strike." I said, you shut down the factory. People responded. The people went out on their streets, vowing to continue their struggle. I said, we have got the weapons with the money to buy clothes to protect the country from the onslaught of the enemy. Today, that weapon is against the poor and afflicted people of my country - a bullet on his chest. We are the majority of Pakistan. Whenever we Bengalis try to come to power, they have jumped on us.
I said, General Yahya Khan, you are the President of Pakistan, see how my poor man was shot in the chest of my Bengal people. How my mother's call was emptied, how people were killed. You come, you see. He said, I will call the Round Table Conference on the 7th.
As I said, what assembly will sit; Who should I talk to? You have taken the blood of my people's chest, will I talk to them? He blamed us, the people of Bengal, for the secret meeting of five hours. We are responsible.

The Assembly called on the 21st. Blood stains have not dried. On the 7th, the assembly will not open with blood, laid on martyrs. Military law, martial law withdraw. All military personnel have to enter the barracks. The brothers who have been killed have to be investigated. And power has to be handed over to the representative of the people. Then consider whether we can sit in the assembly or not. We cannot sit in the Assembly before that.
I do not want the Prime Minister. I want the rights of the people of this country. I want to make it clear that from now on, courts, courts, criminal and educational institutions will be closed indefinitely in this country.
So that the poor will not suffer, so that my people do not suffer, so that all the other things that are there will not go on strike. Rickshaw, horse carriage, railway will run only - Secretariat, Supreme Court, High Court, Judiciary, Semi-Government Department, WAPDA will not do anything. On the 21st, the employees will come and pay.
If there is no pay, then if one shot, then if my man is killed - you are requested, build a fort in every house. Whatever you have, you have to deal with the enemy and save your life
